Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to the sixth annual Saudi Society of Emergency Medicine (SASEM) international scientific assembly. After five very successful conferences held between Jeddah, Dammam, and Riyadh, this year we decide to continue our successful journey by meeting virtually due to the unprecedented situation of the global COVID-19 pandemic. This last year was full of challenges and heroic acts by all the healthcare frontliners. Despite all challenges and safety precautions, “Distance Brings Us Together” to explore exciting topics in all emergency fields, with particular attention to the science and knowledge gained during the COVID-19 crisis.

I would like to thank the scientific and organizing committees for their outstanding efforts to overcome all the challenges and create this exciting two-day program.
